Welcome
Mark Wiesman Insight Meditation Buddhist practitioner, student, and teacher in Omaha, Nebraska.

About Mark
I am an insight meditation practice student and teacher with an emphasis on early Buddhist teachings. I was first introduced to Vipassana meditation on a ten-day S. N. Goenka silent retreat in 1984. I have been practicing insight or Vipassana meditation ever since. I have attended several silent retreats and have completed courses in Satipatthana (the foundations of mindfulness) and Anapannasati (mindfulness of breathing in 16 steps) guided by Bikkhu Analayo as well as the “Emptiness” course taught by Guy Armstrong, and courses taught by Joseph Goldstein and others. I began teaching in 2017 after being asked to do so. I currently share the Dhamma with friends at the Flatwater Collective, and other Omaha, NE locations. I serve on the boards of Mid America Dharma and the Buddhist Insight Network.
